The Gympie Gold Rush Festival exists and operates as an "Incorporated Entity" and is a not-for-profit community group  consisting of an enthusiastic group of volunteers living, working and contributing to the Gympie regional community within the state of Queensland (Australia).

The Office of Fair Trading (OFT) provides the framework, direction and necessary oversight for the Gympie Rush Festival (Incorporated) committee, under the Associations Incorporation Act 1981.
